Vitullo serves as the Assistant Vice President of Economic Innovation for the Office of the President. Vitullo provides strategic and operational leadership to advance West Virginia University’s role in growing and diversifying West Virginia’s economy by working collaboratively with key partners and supporting strategic and emerging initiatives. Additionally, she works to align economic innovation efforts with both the academic and outreach mission of West Virginia University.
Vitullo is the Co-Founder of the West Virginia Grant Resource Centers, which assists communities and other eligible applicants in developing competitive grant applications across the state of West Virginia. She coordinates the Chambers Elite Climbers Program, a student-athlete development program that focuses on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, branding and technology. She has supported workforce efforts for the broadband industry, energy initiatives and remote work.
Prior to her current role, Vitullo managed the portfolio of graduate programs in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics, launching its nationally ranked online MBA, which led to the creation of subsequent nationally ranked online master’s programs and other specialized programs for national guardsmen and corporate offerings. She was part of the inaugural cohort of IDEA fellows at WVU and served as the Dean of the Governor’s School for Entrepreneurship. Vitullo received her PhD and MBA from WVU and her undergraduate and MS degree from the University of Toronto. She has served as an adjunct faculty in entrepreneurship, marketing, and management and has published in several areas. She serves on the boards of Pantry Plus More, Libera, the WISER advisory committee and the Friends of the History Morgantown Museum.
