Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Operations and Outreach and Executive Director with coordinating program activities, supporting service delivery, and assisting with the center's day-to-day operations.
  • Support the development of training materials, webinars, and educational resources for students and business clients.
  • Assist in creating visually compelling graphics and promotional materials for campaigns, events, and the web portal to align with the CRRC’s branding.
  • Assist with the management of the CRRC’s social media profiles.
  • Assist the Director of Operations and Outreach with the CRRC’s outreach efforts, including public engagements and off-site travel.
  • Coordinate strategic communications between project partners, students, and faculty to ensure project completion.
  • Analyze program data and prepare reports to meet grant reporting requirements
  • Provide quarterly reports to the Director of Operations and Outreach, summarizing key metrics and recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, drafting communications, and tracking partner project progress across the center.
  • Assist with creating educational materials, such as infographics, videos, or brochures, to help businesses and organizations improve their cybersecurity posture.
  • Assist with scheduling final presentations and deliverables for projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at West Virginia University throughout the Spring 2025 and Fall 2025 semesters.
  • Students majoring or minoring in MIS, CS, Cybersecurity, or related fields are preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with tools like Zoho CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS Controls) is preferred but not required.
